A special awards banquet tonight will honor 33 Schenectady area teens for their accomplishments in Vocational Exploration Program job training courses, and the food will have a special touch.
It is being prepared by some of the teens in the program.
"Sometimes they are a little nervous. You can hear the coffee cups rattling while they're serving," laughed Robert Buchalski, food service director at Ellis Hospital where the banquet will be held. But dinner guests don't have to worry about who is preparing the food, Buchalski said. "They do a pretty nice job."
