Vic: Airline says investigation shows there was no fire
MELBOURNE, Feb 7 AAP - Engineers believe there was no fire on a Singapore Airlines
plane that made an emergency landing at Melbourne airport, the airline said early today.
"Engineers investigating the report of a fire on an engine pod of a Singapore Airlines
Boeing 747-400 operating from Melbourne to Singapore yesterday are now satisfied there
was NO fire," the airline said in a statement.
