Fed: Aust air forces involved in march on Baghdad: McNarn=2 reop
Brigadier MCNARN says there is a lot of doubt about whether Iraqi leader SADDAM HUSSEINis alive and leading his troops.
The brigadier says it is clear the command structures of the Iraqi forces are startingto crumble.
Brigadier MCNARN says Australian fighters have logged more than 700 flying hours andtaken part in 70 strike missions.
He says Australian fighters have hit numerous Iraqi tanks, trucks, fuel dumps and ammunitionstorage areas.
And, he says special forces operating in Iraq's west are dominating their area of operation,and have been involved in actions that wiped out large numbers of Iraqi troops.
