GANSEVOORT Marilyn D. Murphy, 66, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Albany and lived in the Albany area for most of her life, living for a brief period on Hilton Head Island, S.C. Marilyn was a graduate of Russell Sage College. She retired as a senior corrections counselor with the New York State Department of Corrections after 30 years of service. Marilyn is the beloved daughter of Margaret Galeo and the late Jerome Galeo.
